Our activities allow for fun social time for both moms and kids! Here are a few examples of the activities that we plan for you and your children.
A new book is selected and discussed monthly or bi-monthly. We meet at child-friendly locations where the mothers can sit and talk about what they read.
Mom's Night Out (MNO)
What mom doesn't need a night out? One evening each month, we get together for a little rejuvenating MOM time. Some of our MNO outings have included dinner and dessert, bowling, game night, and movie night!
Each month, a club member chooses a theme and hosts a late morning/lunch get-together. People bring a sample of their favorite theme dish along with copies of the recipes. Past themes have included Cinco de Mayo and Salads.
We celebrate special times of the year with a variety of holiday parties and activities. We've had visits from Santa Claus and seen the children dressed in their best Halloween outfits! The parties are safe and fun opportunities for the children to celebrate holidays with their moms and friends.
Joining the MOMS Club is a great way to get involved in the community! We run various service projects throughout the year that allow our moms to give their time and energy to worthy charities in the Stafford area. Recently, we've participated in a toy drive and a canned food drive for a local women's homeless shelter, a fundraiser for foster children, and a preschool fair.
At 10:00 am on the second Wednesday of each month, we hold a monthly meeting for all chapter members. During this meeting, we conduct group business and discuss upcoming activities, events, and service projects. We also devote time to guest speakers, roundtable discussions on parenting, or just enjoy each other's company. The children are provided safe areas to play and are supervised by MOMS Club mothers. Visiting a monthly meeting is a great way to become introduced to the club and its members.
We have playgroups made up of members with children who are within 6 months of age. These groups meet weekly and are organized by their playgroup leaders. Playgroups offer kids the opportunity to meet and play with children of similar ages and allow moms to meet and chat.
